Biography

I am an award winning photographer and architect based in the Merseyside and Cheshire area, with more than 25 years experience capturing landscape, nature and architectural images from my travels to over 35 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, South America, and further afield into the Arctic circle and to the remote Antarctic Continent.

In addition to giving illustrated talks on many of these trips and lecturing on Travel Photography, my images and articles have been published in travel brochures, websites and UK photographic journals.

New Galleries

Visit my third and latest Antarctica gallery with images from my Nov 2009 trip to on the Russian polar class icebreaker Kapitan Khlebnikov. Accompanied by three times EMMY and BAFTA award winner, BBC wildlife cameraman Doug Allan, our ship sailed through the Weddell Sea ice pack to James Ross Island where we were greeted by Emperor penguins and Crabeater seals.

We made several landings on the Antarctic Peninsula then sailed on to the Falkland Islands. I have been lucky to photograph a stunning range of wildlife on these expeditions, including all seven species of Antarctic and sub-antarctic penguins. See all the incredible wildlife encountered in my new Tierra del Fuego and Falkland Islands galleries.
