One Week, Two Nations, Two Schools and 150 Children

The Rugby Six Nations competition is on at the moment.

Last week was a very interesting and fulfilling one, where I had my own, mini Two Nations event.

I visited St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Halifax in Yorkshire on the Monday. Presented ‘Antarctica – A Really Cool Place’ to their Year 2 classes. On the Thursday I visited Willowtown Community Primary School in Ebbw Vale, Gwent in South Wales to give the same talk but a version for their Year 4 classes.

Both schools were welcoming and friendly, the 150 children I met were great, enthusiastic and excited to see my images of cute penguin chicks, awesome icebergs, huge whales and various seals.

The image above shows children from both schools with their teachers dressed up in my antarctic gear.

A great week indeed!! The score? England 10/10 – Wales 10/10
