‘The teeming Autumn big with rich increase’

Everyone is talking about the UK’s impressively colourful autumn. 2016 has been a good year for tree and leaf growth, giving us one of our best autumns, or for my American friends, a great Fall.

General advice is to get out and about to visit the various woods and forests across England. Well this morning in Bebington on the Wirral, the sky was dull and leaden. But I only walked into my small front garden at home and took the following shots of my modest saplings with the trees of my local park in the background.

I hope you agree some stunning colours there, so it just proves you don’t have to go far to enjoy our ‘teeming Autumn big with rich increase’. By the way, that is a line by William Shakespeare, from his Sonnet XCVII.
