There are some guest speakers who we regularly seek out for a return and one of those is Brian Anderson. A much travelled photographer, Brian’s talks and photographs are always an experience not to be missed so Hoylake Photographic Society have made his next presentation an “open” evening for the public. Entry is free so take the opportunity to visit the club, see who we are and enjoy Brian Anderson’s photography.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by everyone at Heswall Photographic Society last night with your ‘Petrels, Paddy’s and Penguins’ talk. Absolutely outstanding images with excellent presentation and delivery!   I wish I could have combined two of my greatest passions as you have so clearly done …. a love of zoology with photographic expertise. Having seen your website Brian, I knew we would enjoy the evening, but I was overwhelmed by the quality of your images especially since everything was taken by hand held camera. The precision and detail of some of your close-ups were staggering. I look forward to welcoming you back and I assure you that we will not be delaying the next invitation.

Very many thanks for coming to The Athenaeum last Thursday evening. Our members enjoyed your excellent illustrated talk on the Venice Carnevale. Your lively and informative presentation including your wonderful photographs of the carnival costumes, captivated all who were there and I am sure they will fondly remember the event for a long time to come.

Thanks for a superb ‘Petrels, Paddy’s and Penguins’ talk last evening. It was very well received and everybody enjoyed the fact that not only were there superb images but the background to the trips and some of the facts also brought the whole session to life.

Thanks for your second visit to us, and a great presentation and talk on the ‘Galapagos Islands’ – truly enthralling and great to have a talk that isn’t “just” pictures if you know what I mean. I had lots of great feedback from the audience and they are already looking forward to your next visit.

Your 2016/17 talk ‘Feathers and Wings’ was well received as ever . See you next year and thanks yet again for an excellent talk

As a good friend and ex working colleague of Brian’s, I have been fortunate to see a number of his illustrated talks and cannot recommend him highly enough. Brian’s photos from his polar and wilderness trips are stunning, always accompanied by interesting facts and humorous stories behind the shots. Book a talk or course when you can.
